Childhood Friends Jose & Manuel

Jose and Manuel are childhood friends from Spain, who meet each year to ride part of the Eurovelo 6. This is there 3rd year in a row! The first year was Passau to Vienna, then Vienna to Budapest, and now Budapest to Belgrade. How impressive, their next stop will be the Black Sea where the Danube ends.



How would you describe your Eurovelo 6 Experience in one sentence
Amazing rides with nice towns and landscapes, and good food!

Why did you decide to ride the Eurovelo 6?
I usually ride a bike and I like to travel. It´s a perfect combination

What was the highlight of your trip?
Budapest obviously.

What was the most challenging part of your trip?
Ride the bike in some narrow roads with heavy trafic


What was your favourite town/city and why?
Budapest obviously. But Novi Sad is a beautiful city too.

What time of the year did you ride the Eurovelo 6?
In June. We only meet a couple of cyclists.

Would you do it again?
Yes, because we want to continue from Belgrade to Romania

Do you have any advice for fellow riders deciding to ride the EuroVelo 6?
The route from Novi Sad to Belgrade is no good for bikes. There are a lot of trafic and the drivers don´t have care with that.

Would you recommend our bike rental services to your friends and family?
Of course. This is the second time we use this company, and all it was perfect.

How did you find the Trekking Bikes and equipment provided by Vienna Explorer or Buda Explorer?
The bikes and all equipment were in good conditions and good quality. We didn´t have any problem with them.

Ashley is a speech pathologist from Canada who decided to ride solo from Vienna to Budapest. However, as one does on the Eurovelo 6, Ashley met a fellow solo female rider, Katherina from Germany, and completed the rest of the journey with her new Eurovelo 6 companion. How would you describe your Eurovelo 6 Experience in one sentence The ride was beautiful and made me feel completely at peace. Why did you decide to ride the Eurovelo 6?
